MediaRoom ("MediaRoom," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have when you use our website, rooms, chat features, uploads, and related services (the "Service").

We built MediaRoom to be simple and respectful. We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for behavioral advertising or profiling without consent. We collect and use information mainly to operate the Service, keep it secure, support the features you choose to use, and improve reliability.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information you provide directly

We may collect information you provide when you:

• create or join a room

• send chat messages

• upload avatars, images, files, or other content

• enable chat, uploads, and shared room features

We do not sell personal information.

5. Public Rooms, Private Rooms, and Chat

MediaRoom includes both public and private rooms.

• Public rooms: content you share there may be visible to other users in that room.

• Private rooms: content is intended to be accessible only to invited or authorized participants.

Chat messages, uploads, usernames, and activity within rooms may be visible to room participants and may be stored as part of the normal operation of the Service.

Please do not share sensitive personal information in rooms or chat unless you are comfortable doing so.

6. File and Image Uploads

If you upload avatars, images, files, or other content:

• we may store and process that content to provide the Service

• that content may be visible to other users depending on where and how you share it

• you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and share that content

7. How We Share Information

We may share personal information only in these limited situations:

• with service providers who help us operate the Service

• with other users, when you intentionally share information in rooms, chat, profiles, or uploads

• if required by law, subpoena, court order, or legal process

• support room and chat functionality

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is not yet a universally accepted standard for how to respond to these signals, MediaRoom does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals unless required by applicable law.

11. Children’s Privacy

MediaRoom is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Service, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. International Users

If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our providers operate.
